What Is The Difference Between The HCG Drops & HCG Injections?


The biggest difference between the Diet Doctors HCG drops and injections is the method of application, although they are as effective as the other:

  1. HCG Oral Drops
  2. HCG Injections



HCG oral drops are taken under the tongue, so there are no needles. The Diet Doctors HCG drops need to be taken 3 times per day and held under the tongue for one or two minutes, and you can’t eat or drink anything for about 15 minutes before or after. The individual doses can take longer than injections, although that difference doesn’t seem so bad when you consider that you’re avoiding needles and mixing, and storing the injections.

The Pros:

  • Easy to store
  • Painless

The Cons:

  • Need to be taken 3 times per day
  • Application time is longer than that the injections



HCG injections are possibly the most common method of taking HCG, simply because it was the original method used by Dr. Simeons back in the 1950s. Since then, injections have become the standard method of taking HCG. They have been proven over time and are generally more easily accepted than HCG drops. Usually the HCG is injected into your abdominal area, but can also be injected into your buttocks, upper arm, thigh or even your back if you have a helper. The HCG solution needs to stored in the fridge at all times.

The Pros:

  • Only taken once per day
  • Fast application

The Cons:

  • Can be painful if done incorrectly
  • Needs to be stored in the fridge

Choosing between the HCG drops or injections is a personal choice. If you are someone who leads a busy lifestyle and will not remember to take the drops 3 times per day then the injections may be a better bet. If you are someone who has a fear of needles then the drops may be a better option for you.

They work as effectively as one another so your choice should not be based on effectiveness. Rather base your decision on what you feel will be a more pleasant experience.
