What Is the HCG Diet Plan?

I would like to introduce you to a new weight loss program that involves no surgery or starving, no outrageous exercise programs, no dangerous pills or expensive packaged meals. You won’t feel tired, hungry or grumpy as with most diets. Although the HCG diet has been receiving a great deal of attention lately, it is not actually new concept. In fact, using HCG for weight loss was first reported by British physician, Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in 1954. Dr Simeons was working in Rome when he discovered that small doses of HCG given to overweight individuals (men and women) along with a healthy eating plan decreased their appetite, and made them lose centimeters specifically around their hips, thighs, buttocks and stomachs.

What Dr. Simeons Discovered

Dr. Simeons published a book called “Pounds and Inches” that revolutionised the weight loss industry. Dr. Simeons’ found that by pairing HCG with a reduced calorie healthy eating plan his patients experienced amazing losses without causing the same side effects commonly associated with low calorie diets.

He noticed that his HCG patients could drastically reduce their caloric intake without experiencing irritability, hunger pains, headaches, or weakness.

He found that the injections also helped to naturally reshape his patient’s bodies even if they did not engage in exercise while on the diet.

He concluded that this was because the patients lost their fat tissue from abnormal fat stored around the waist, hips and buttocks, which made changes much more noticeable.

How To Lose On The HCG Healthy Eating Plan?

The HCG treatment consists of a very low calorie diet in combination with HCG hormone treatments. During the treatment, you regularly take a small amount of HCG into your body daily. This HCG mobilizes body fat which circulates through your body providing energy and preventing hunger. This will make it possible to maintain the diet. HCG helps to burn the “mobile fat” – the fat that is stored around the hips, thighs, belly and upper arms. It will however, leave the so called “Structural fat” that can be found in the muscles and protects the organs, untouched. This way the excess fat will disappear even faster and the problem areas will be dealt with more efficiently.

What Do The HCG Drops / Injections actually do?

HCG is a natural water-based hormone present in large amounts in pregnant females. HCG products along with a healthy eating plan can safely be used by males, females as well as young adults who have reached puberty who need to lose weight. The HCG hormone speeds up your metabolism, by signaling the body to mobilize abnormal fat deposits as energy. You will literally be sculpting your body and losing inches as well as pounds when on the program.

Which Should I Choose – Drops Or Injections?

HCG Diet Plan Drops are taken under the tongue, so there are no needles. The HCG drops need to be taken 3 times per day and held under the tongue for one or two minutes, and you can’t eat or drink anything for about 15 minutes before or after. The individual doses can take longer than injections, although that difference doesn’t seem so bad when you consider that you’re avoiding needles and mixing, and storing the injections.

The Pros:

  • Easy to store
  • Painless

The Cons:

  • Need to be taken 3 times per day
  • Application time is longer than that the injections

HCG Diet Plan Injections are possibly the most common method of taking HCG, simply because it was the original method used by Dr. Simeons back in the 1950s. Since then, injections have become the standard method of taking HCG. Usually the HCG is injected into your abdominal area, but can also be injected into your buttocks, upper arm or thigh. The HCG solution needs to stored in the fridge at all times.

The Pros:

  • Only taken once per day
  • Fast application

The Cons:

  • Can be painful if done incorrectly
  • Needs to be stored in the fridge

Choosing between the HCG drops or injections is a personal choice. If you are someone who leads a busy lifestyle and will not remember to take the drops 3 times per day then the injections may be a better bet. If you are someone who has a fear of needles then the drops may be a better option for you.
